Terms Entered in Search Boxes
A name, place, or other text entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Alabama Released Inmates does not keep or log those query terms on its own systems. The search provider's policy governs its collection and handling.
Messages Sent to the Site
If a visitor sends an email or uses an available contact method, the message and return details may be retained long enough to respond and manage the exchange. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law. Do not send a date of birth, AIS, A-number, home address, or victim-notification contact details when they are not needed.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary web logs and measurement tools may receive technical details when a page loads. These details help operate the service and understand broad use patterns:
- The connection's IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring page or site, when supplied

Advertising partners may use their own technology to follow activity across more than one site and tailor ads. That processing occurs within their systems under their policies, not as a record hosted by Alabama Released Inmates.

Personal information is not sold. Depending on which feature a visitor uses, data may reach these categories:

- An advertising network serving or measuring ads
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order

Common administrative and technical safeguards are used to reduce unauthorized access or loss. No website, network, storage service, or internet transfer can be promised as fully secure. Alabama Released Inmates therefore cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor submitted personal data, use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
